Peter Winfield
I am a photographer living and working in Paris Montmartre/Pigalle since 1974.
Originally a Still Life photographer in London working occasionally in Paris. I bought my studio 15 rue Veron then changed to People pictures at the beginning of the 80’s sometimes using my neighbours and friends as models for ads. Sold my studio, as many of my pictures are taken on location often however using studio lighting similar in a way to film shoots.
I still make my living working for press and advertising and have 2 children, a girl of 19 Louise and a boy of 13 Marius. I love Paris and France in general and especially ordinary people – I think it shows in my photos.

Je suis un photographe qui vit et travaille à Paris - Montmartre/Pigalle depuis 1974.
À mes débuts, j’étais photographe de Nature Morte à Londres, travaillant occasionnellement à Paris. J’ai acheté un atelier 15, rue Véron et, au début des années 80, je me suis mis à faire des portraits, utilisant parfois mes voisins et amis comme modèles pour des publicités. J’ai ensuite vendu mon atelier puisque beaucoup de mes photos sont faites en situation meme si j’utilise des lumières de studio comme on le fait pour le cinéma.
Je gagne ma vie en travaillant pour la presse et la publicité. J’ai deux enfants, une fille Louise de 19 ans et un fils, Marius de 13 ans. J’aime Paris et la France en général, et tout particulièrement les Français "ordinaires", comme le montre, je crois, mon travail.

Arnaud Gautelier, who helps me with my blog is a friend I met working when he was an Art Director for an advertising agency here in Paris. He had to stop as he was hit by illness (multiple sclerosis ) which he describes in his book « J’te plaque ma sclerose ». He now works at home as he cannot walk very far, but this in no way restricts his creativity, and its with pleasure I imagine our collaboration.
He created the Association Notre Sclérose.

Arnaud Gautelier, qui m'aide avec mon blog est un ami que j'ai rencontré en travaillant avec lui quand il était un Directeur Artistique pour une agence de publicité ici à Paris. Il a dû s'arrêter comme il a été frappé par la maladie (Sclérose En Plaques) qu'il décrit dans son livre « J'te plaque ma, sclérose ». Il travaille maintenant à la maison comme il ne peut pas marcher très loin, mais cela ne limite nullement sa créativité et c'est avec plaisir j'imagine notre collaboration.
Il a créé l’Association Notre Sclérose.
